While 10% of revenues and 20% of staff are devoted to research and development, Capelec's ambition is to design 3 new products per year.
It is constantly developing the portfolio through the design office teams. Objectives: anticipate the expectations of the sector and prepare for the future. New forms of mobility are one of the areas of investigation (ADAS functionalities, new vehicles).
COMPLIANCE
Equipment compliance
All equipment and software comply with the standards in force in roadworthiness.
Compliance with regulations for lighting (head lamp beam testers), for emissions (gas analysers and opacimeters ), for braking and suspension: all equipment are approved.

Understanding the emission, lighting, engine management, on-board diagnostic (OBD), safety and driving technologies of tomorrow are the challenges of today's research.
Capelec maintains close relationship with research players. Investigations are carried out in partnership with universities (Carlos III in Madrid), research institutes (IFPEN, Institut Français du Pétrole et des Energies Nouvelles) and car manufacturers.
